update, because it has been forever!

sorry, i am slackin again!  but there really hasn't been too many exciting things to report on lately!  i haven't biked or swam since my tri.  but i have been running.  in my off season this year, i am going to do a lot of aerobic base building, so longer, slower runs and bikes.  this past tuesday, i ran 6 miles, which is the longest i have gone in a good while and it felt pretty darn good. i could have kept going a few more miles! it is awesome to know that i can still pull out some longer d...

TRI report...

i was not nervous at all the morning of the race, which was a little freaky and interesting to me!  usually i have a few butterflies flickering around!  only when i put my feet in the water with 30 seconds to the start did i feel anything.  i got right out in front on the swim because i now know that i should finish in the top of the pack. i think i may have done the first half too fast, cause i was holding back a bit on the second 200 yards and i wanted to have a faster finish.  i did get a ...

tri is tomorrow!

so, i think i am going to make it to my tri.  the outlook wasn't so good a few days ago.  i got extremely sick on wednesday, sore throat, achy ears, cough, fever, could barely talk, so it definitely wasn't looking very good!  but after a great friend (janey!) bought me some zinc tablets and vitamin C, and gave me all sorts of advice about drinking ginger tea, etc, i felt a lot better the next day, even though my voice still sounded awful, and i think i may be fully ready to kick ass tomorrow!...
