rough week, but finished strong!

well i struggled again this week, but got it together in the end.  after my killer leg workout on tuesday, i was feeling a little crappy the next couple days.  even though wednesday was my off day for training, i still worked a 10 hour day!  when i got home at 6, i stayed in bed all night, feeling pretty icky.  i took a sick day on thursday, lounged around the house, worked on my website, a did a lot of nothing, which is very hard for me.  i rescheduled my workout with my trainer for friday, ...

update, short and sweet

just a few things to report...my swim workout left me feeling very ill on sunday, like i had been to the doctor to give blood or like i had been on a rocking boat out at sea for 5 hours...very weird.  i hope that doesn't happen again!  ryan, my husband and tri trainer, had me focusing on twisting my body to lengthen my strokes, so maybe the constant twisting did me in, or maybe i didn't take enough breaths, hopefully i'll figure it out!  my trainer in the gym about killed me yesterday....all ...

slowly, but surely!

this weekend was good, last weekend sucked in terms of tri training!  last weekend, i was planning on swimming and biking on sunday, but ended up drinking too much saturday night (which rarely happens these days), felt horrible the next day and my entire training day was ruined!  but this weekend was good.  just got done with 10 miles on the bike and about to do a 1200 yard swim in the pool.  weight training is going well, but i don't think i am eating enough to support the growth i want and ...

Tri training has begun!

YES!...I officially started BASE triathlon training.  When i say "base", I mean i am getting a good fitness base going for all the disciplines...swimming, biking, and running.  however, i have already been running once a week, but mostly short intervals.  starting in may, when my official figure prep starts, i will train each discipline 2 days per week.  it will be a very interesting prep, as i will be "dieting" and tri training at the same time!  what do you all think about that?

back in the groove!

so after a week of vaca, i am back in the groove!  Big Sky, MT was amazing!  got some good skiing in...even did some skiing in my bikini!  check out my new videos on You Tube!  they're hilarious!  i fasted on Sunday to cleanse my body a bit.  i have never intentionally done this before, but thought it went really well.  i drank about 500 cals of juice, however.  the next day, my workout rocked, which was surprising to me!  this week in the gym, i changed up my training routine a bit, i am now...
